Real Madrid sign another highly rated young French midfielder after agreeing a deal with Monaco for the transfer of Aurelien Tchouaméni on Saturday.

Tchouaméni, 22, will join the club for six seasons, Madrid said, and will be presented on Tuesday once he has passed his medical.

Madrid haven’t disclosed the fee for the France international, who has been playing with Monaco since January 2020 after joining Bordeaux. Sections of the Spanish media reported that the charges amounted to 100 million euros ($105 million), including variables.

Madrid already have an even younger French midfielder in their squad, 19-year-old Eduardo Camavinga, who joined Rennes last off-season and played a key role – mostly on the bench – in the team’s race to win the Champions League title last month. .

Another French star in Madrid’s squad is striker Karim Benzema.
